Utah National Parks

Arches

The natural sculpture garden of Arches National Park includes more than 2000 naturally formed arches and unusual rock formations. The best way to see these is on foot, but there are spectacular scenic drives as well for those with limited time. Try a ranger-guided hike through Fiery Furnace's maze of stone formations. While there, stand beneath a graceful red stone arch and marvel over nature's ability to create such amazing geometric sculptures.

Because people come from all over the world to photograph Arches' one-of-a-kind topography, the National Park Service gives tips on how and when to capture the best shots on the Arches National Park website.

Arches isn't a huge park, so facilities are fairly limited. There are two campgrounds open year round, but the nearby town of Moab has many places to stay, dine, and rent equipment, including bicycles. In fact, Moab is one of the mountain-biking capitals of the world and a great place to gather information on the surrounding area's assortment of stunning biking routes catering to all experience levels.
